Section titled “a. Data accessed via Shopify APIs”While we do not collect or store any personal data of merchants’ customers, our app accesses the following information through Shopify’s APIs necessary for facilitating checkout customizations:
- Customer information including contact details (name, email, phone) solely for the duration of processing within the app interface.
- Store owner details (contact email, phone, name).
- Orders, products, and transactions data relevant only for the last 60 days to enhance customization features, not stored beyond processing needs.
- Information such as metaobjects, locales, and Shopify Markets settings for checkout branding adjustments.
b. Data collected directly from merchants
Section titled “b. Data collected directly from merchants”We collect the following information directly from merchants upon installation and use of our app:
- Email address, phone number, name, and shop name.
This data is used solely to provide and improve the services offered by our app and to communicate effectively with our merchants.
3. Use of information
Section titled “3. Use of information”The information we collect is primarily used to enable and enhance the checkout customization services offered by our app. Additionally, merchant data may be used for research and analytics to improve our app’s functionalities.
4. Data storage and transfer
Section titled “4. Data storage and transfer”All data collected is stored on secure databases provided by Nhost. While processing is done globally, we ensure the data is handled securely and in compliance with applicable laws.
5. Data retention
Section titled “5. Data retention”Data is retained for as long as it is necessary to provide the services to our merchants and is deleted upon request or automatically after the app is uninstalled from the merchant’s store.
6. Data subject rights
Section titled “6. Data subject rights”Merchants and users can exercise their rights of access, correction, and deletion by contacting us at kyle@keylayapps.com. Requests will be addressed within 30 days.
