September 2026

Section titled “September 25”- New help center (this site), with a guide for every block and function. The help links in each form now point here.
- Redesigned the customizations page.
- Star a customization to pin it to the top of its list. Stars are saved in your browser.
September 24
Section titled “September 24”- Updated the app to Shopify’s latest admin components.
- Fixed issues with the new checkout branding editor.
September 23
Section titled “September 23”- The cart line editor now supports line item upsells and subscription upsells.
- Fixed an issue with Image blocks.
- Upgraded the checkout branding editor.
- Redesigned the page for choosing a new block or function.
- Added search and filters to the customizations page.
- Small form improvements for cross sell, checkbox product offer, and trust badges.
- New Recommend based on option for cross sell related products. Choose which cart item recommendations are based on: the first, last, highest priced, or lowest priced item.
- “Components” are now called “blocks” throughout the app.
- Checkout Buddy’s pages now appear under the app in the Shopify admin sidebar.
September 22: Shopify compatibility update
Section titled “September 22: Shopify compatibility update”Checkout Buddy has completed a major migration to Shopify’s newly required APIs and components. This update was needed to keep the app compatible with Shopify.

Section titled “September 11”- New display rules: Quantity of items with product tags and Quantity of line items with product tags.
- The line item remover can now target products by tag.
- A function’s name must now be different from your other functions’ names, and errors when saving are clearer.

- Fixed the checkbox product offer not removing a non-default variant from the cart.

Section titled “August 13”- Reordering payment methods and shipping methods now matches method names loosely, the same way hiding them does, instead of needing an exact match.
- Fixed edge cases when reordering payment and shipping methods.

- Fixed currency conversion for shipping discount display rules.
- Fixed the address blocker blocking checkouts with digital products, such as gift cards and downloads.
